Directions

We did it! What was impossible to Plankton for several years, we now found it. We have obtained the secret formula for the one and only Krabby Patty, hoorah! Here is the recipe of the showpiece of the Krusty Krab. Spongebob would be proud of us.

Because the Krabby Patty has to have some kind of crab in it - even though that would make Mr. Krabs a cannibal - this variant is made with crab meat. In case you don’t like that very much, you can take a normal hamburger! The same goes for the sauce. You can also use just mayonnaise and mustard, but tartar sauce is extra tasty in combination with the crab, so go for it!

Directions of the sauce:

Start by cooking the egg. When it’s completely cooled, mash it in a big bowl. Then add the mustard. Chop the pickle, the scallion and the capers very, very finely. Do the same with the chives and the parsley and then add everything to the bowl. At last, you add the mayonnaise, mix it well. Stop with adding mayonnaise if the sauce becomes too thin, it has to be a somewhat thicker sauce. But most important is that you like it, so taste regularly! Store the sauce for not too long (1-2 days) in the fridge, so eat it right away if possible.

Directions of the burgers:

Unleash your fury on the round rusks until they’re totally crushed. Add the ingredients, without the crab meat, in a mixing bowl. Squeeze the meat well until all the liquid is out and then also add the meat to the bowl. Knead well until it’s a smooth ball. In case it’s too dry still, you can always add another crushed rusk to it and mix it through. Now, you can make burgers, and bake for a while with oil in a grill pan (or a plate, just like Spongebob does), so you get a diamond pattern.

Herb tip: parsley/tarragon

Now, you can start building your bun. If you want to stick to the original order, you can use this image. The tartar sauce is replacing the ketchup and mustard, but feel free to do whatever you want!

Have a nice meal! Share it with anyone but Plankton!
