Directions

Today it is officially Rocky Road day. For those who do not know what that means. Rocky Road is a recipe that was invented many years ago to prevent goods that broke during transport from begin thrown away. So they made a cake with al the broken goods and left overs and called it Rocky road so the wouldn't have to throw away that much. Many man who worked in the mines likes this very much, the road that leaded to the mines were very rock like and bumpy and that is were the name came from.

So now you know that we can go ahead and make that delicious cake.

Cut the chocolate in pieces before you melt it at the au-bain-marie way. Before the chocolate is well melted you have to put the butter in the almost melted chocolate. If this is melted that you can put the maple syrup, brown caster sugar and cacao powder in it. Stir this on a very low heat. Make sure it becomes a smooth mixture. Cut the marshmallows in the size you like.

Remove the mixture from the stove and add the marshmallow. Chop the withe chocolate. Let the mixture cool for a few minutes, after that add the white chocolate piece, stir the chocolate through the mixture. Cover the cake form with greaseproof paper. Put the mixture in a cake form and let it set for 2 hours in the refrigerator

After the long wait (which is definitely worth it) you can get a tasty feast on this delicious dessert/snack. Bon appetit!
