Christmas Butter Cookies
- 240 grams butter
- 100 grams sugar
- 1 big egg
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Rolling pin
- Baking sheet
Let the house get completely into the Christmas scents with the baking of these delicious Christmas-like butter cookies. Super easy to make and these are so delicious!
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Take a bowl and mix, at low speed, the butter and the sugar until it’s a whole. Then mix at high speed until it becomes a light and creamy substance. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix them with te substance. Mix the flour and baking powder through until it becomes a dough.
Divide the cookie dough into 4 equal pieces, wrap it up with foil and let the dough rest in the fridge for one hour.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface with a floured rolling pin. If it is a thing rectangle, grab the shapes and cut as many cookies as possible out of the dough. Place the cookies, not too clos together, on a greased baking sheet. Bake the cookies in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until they’re light brown in color.
Glaze is super easy to make. The only thing you need is powdered sugar and water. Or powdered sugar and eggwhite. Mix the powdered sugar with a small amount of water or eggwhites and you’re done. Decorate the cookies with glaze the way you like it, as a tip I recommend in a Christmas mood! ;)
